Meggan Watterson is the spiritual teacher to spiritual teachers and this book is a road map to the heart of Christ’s message.

However, for me, the glaring omission from this text is the scripture in full (as what has been found) either at the start of the book, or the end. She is a soul doula, gently holding our hands as we cross the river to spiritual healing and emotional salvation through these pages. And she shares how this discovery of Mary's gospel has allowed her to practice, and to experience, a love that never ends, a love that transforms everything. Her unearthing of the hidden and silenced realities of the first apostle’s life and legacy ignites revelations that will transform the hearts and minds of readers who are ready to claim their own power and spiritual authority.It is rare to find a book that catalyzes a mystical awakening, a book that feels like a reunion with a long-lost key to your soul’s evolution. A gospel, as old and authentic as any that now make up the Bible, was buried deep in the Egyptian desert after an edict was sent out in the 4th century to have all copies of it destroyed. Read it, just because it’s so full of hope and beauty, I feel that it’s sparked a need to find out more about this side of Christ, the completeness of him through Mary and I’m now looking to read other books that the author recommends.

If this is all you read, if you put down this book at the end of this sentence, know that this is the most important message of Mary’s gospel: we are inherently good. But the authors stretching and reaching to come to a place she's comfortable with, in my opinion, does a disservice not only to God, but to Mary Magdalene herself. The author narrates her own work, so the only benefit from the sample is that you can hear what her voice sounds like. She makes it safe for you to explore your own emotions while she journeys through the paradox of traveling long distances to find something that has always been inside of you.
